‘Leopold’ consolidates the Kremstal climate, the notable character of weathered conglomerate soils and a lifetime of cellar experience to create an outstanding top-drawer wine. After six hours of maceration in the press, this Veltliner was fermented and matured in large, neutral oak casks and aged on the fine lees until the end of April.
It is impressive for its herbal spices and nuances of tropical fruit; juicy, mineral and rich in finesse – a wine whose earlier vintage was victorious in the Falstaff-Kremstal DAC Cup.
Also still available as vintage 2018.
