For the culinary part of this year’s Tour de Vin, we were able to win Jürgen Vigne and his team again after last year’s premiere. Jürgen, who runs the Pfefferschiff in Söllheim, Salzburg, with his wife Iris, has been one of Austria’s best chefs for many years. The cuisine of the native of Kremstal (from Stratzdorf near Gedersdorf) has been awarded 1 star Guide Michelin, 3 hoods Guide Gault Millau and 4 stars Guide A la Carte.
Jürgen will be cooking up for us during the Tour de Vin from May 5 to 7. During the afternoon, on Saturday and Sunday, May 6 and 7, he will provide a small but fine menu of refreshments in the old press house of the Vorspannhof. In the evenings from Friday to Sunday he will prepare a surprise menu, to which we will open the best of our wine cellar. For the evening menu we ask for advance booking.
The Tour de Vin is a unique opportunity to get an overview of the new vintage. With the Tour de Vin badge for € 30, – can be visited on May 6 and 7, the 40 member wineries of the Austrian Traditional Wineries Danube Region and taste all the current wines. At our winery in Dross, we invite you to taste not only the freshly filled wines of the 2022 vintage, but also older drops – namely from the Buchegger Winery and the Vorspannhof Mayr.
